This week

Your linked production should be completed by the end of Thursday's lesson.

We have 3 weeks left now to complete the videos.

Write yourself a checklist and make sure you add this to your blog:
  • Finish filming
  • Finish editing (clips trimmed, transitions and effects)
  • Add music
  • Add voice overs
  • Add credits
  • Add station ident
  • Add graphics (if required)
Don't forget to spend as much time as you can on this, either at lunch times or after college.

Wallander

Series 2 of this crime drama began on Sunday.

Click on the image to watch it in iPlayer. This first 3 minutes contains all the codes and conventions you'd expect and is intriguing. The credit sequence is quite stylistic too!

Don't forget to put your responses onto your blog or
if you find anything yourself add that on too.

Getting started on your linked production

By now you will have made your choice and will have produced a mock-up of what your product will look like.

After the Linked Production lesson you can add a lot more detail to your blog and be able to outline for me:

- The full and detailed idea and progress made
- Comparison to similar products
- Research undertaken (e.g. on script formatting, , professional storyboards, poster campaigns or Photoshop tools)
-Deadlines set for yourself (e.g. learning Photoshop, taking photos, writing first page, drawing first 5 cells of storyboard, etc)

Below are some useful links. Just click on the word, e.g. script.

Happy New Year!

Hi, I hope you all have a relaxing beak and are now ready for a term of hard work to produce some top quality crime dramas.

You have 6 weeks until the final deadline for your completed video (Fri 12th Feb 2010).

I need to see from each group evidence of a schedule showing what is left to do, who is going to do it and when it will be done.

At this stage a few groups have successfully filmed parts of their drama. If you haven't finished filming this is a must for this week.

Although we don't have a practical lesson until Fridays, you need to make sure you are still on top of things (especially your blog as this informs part of your coursework grade).
